Our ACIM groups are support networks for people working with the Course. They are not a teaching groups and not general spiritual discussion groups. A Course in Miracles is a self-study program designed for ongoing use and study on a daily basis. Our groups are intended to support your self-study and to help you support others. You can learn more about the Course on the Foundation for Inner Peace website (button below). Check out the items under the “About” tab on their homepage. You can now read their free online E-edition too!
The Circle of Atonement also offers information on the Course, including their new "Complete Edition." We highly recommend this edition (based on the original handwritten notes) for all students of the Course. You can get the "Complete Edition" as a free app from Google or Apple; search for "ACIM CE".
To participate in our study group you will need a copy of A Course In Miracles. We will be taking turns reading from the Text and referring to sections by page and paragraph.
Both groups are using the new Complete and Annotated Edition of A Course In Miracles. This edition is based on the original handwritten notes of Helen Schucman, the scribe of the Course. Read more about the Complete Edition below. It is available as a free app for Android and Iphone. Look for ACIMCE.

Getting Started...
We recommend that you read the Preface (How it came, What it is & What it says), Clarification of Terms, and Manual for Teachers first. That is about 100 pages and will help you begin to grasp many of the Course’s core teachings as well as it's use of traditional Christian words in rather non-traditional ways.

About the Course
A Course in Miracles is a spiritual tool for releasing us from our present experiences of conflict, fear and worry and returning us to the inherently natural experience of peace, connection and joy. While the Course itself is a self-study guidebook for this process and requires no external teachers, we have found that participating in study groups with other Course students supports and deepens our individual study process. As the Course says, “It is impossible to remember God in secret and alone.” This applies equally to the remembering of our true Self, the perfect and innocent being which we are and always have been.
As study group facilitators we do not attempt to “teach” the Course. That would be an intellectual exercise and as such could not produce a spiritual experience of healing or awakening. Our weekly format includes an opening meditation utilizing sections from the Course. This is followed by a participatory reading of the Text. The gathering includes opportunities for questions and discussion of the evening’s readings.
We have found that reading aloud from the Course and having it read to us in a group setting produces subtle shifts in consciousness and facilitates the "remembering" or "awakening" that is the Course speaks of. Each inner shift is an opening for miracles, actual changes in our experience of our life, our self and those around us. We are always mindful that the purpose of the Course in not to learn or make up new religious ideas but to connect with the Loving Creative Intelligence (God) which is always present. We often suggest listening to the Course as you might listen to poetry or music, not analyzing it but simply experiencing it as you allow it to wash over you.
One function of the Course is to free our minds from the religious dogmas and punitive ideologies that have been subtly implanted in us by traditional Judaeo-Christian teachings, whether you were raised in them or not. God is love, only love, and always has been love. Forgiveness and complete freedom from all effects of "sin" and suffering is everyone’s Divine inheritance. The Course offers us a bridge of return to our natural state of wholeness, innocence, and communion with all.
